I joined Wetlands Watch as the new Community Engagement Project Manager in July of 2022 after a 1-year service with AmeriCorps, working in Virginia for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. My undergraduate background is in estuarine Marine Biology and I'm currently wrapping up a global sustainability Master's degree at Virginia Tech. My passion for environmental education and getting citizens involved with climate issues is amplified by my work at Wetlands Watch, where I provide technical assistance for communities to apply for resilience-building grant funding, and lead training for my organization's citizen science-based Sea Level Rise app and award-winning Catch the King flood mapping event. I look forward to learning how this workshop can further improve my connections with community stakeholders!
