Senior Environmental Planner at Pioneer Valley Planning Commission (PVPC). My role at PVPC includes supporting municipalities with the MVP 1.0 & 2.0 Planning Process & administering MVP Action grants for municipalities as Project Manager, assisting the Connecticut River Stormwater Committee with public education & outreach under the MS4 Permit and supporting Western MA communities. Prior to joining PVPC, I worked as Conservation Director for the Town of Charlton from 2021-2023 and Conservation Agent/Stormwater Coordinator for the Town of Palmer from 2013-2021. I was also the Conservation Agent for my hometown of Brimfield from 2011-2015, Chair of the Brimfield Conservation Commission from 2017-2019 and Chair of Brimfield’s Open Space Committee from 2014-2021. I have a B.S. in Environmental Law & Policy from UMass Amherst and a M.A.S.S in Environment & Community from Humboldt State University where I focused her research and teaching on Environmental Dispute Resolution, Cross Cultural Communications and Consensus Based Governance. I have received training from the National Center for Environmental Conflict Resolution in Collaboration with Native Nations and Tribal Consultation as well as Crafting Collaborative Solutions to Environmental Conflicts, is a Nationally Certified Stormwater Inspector under the EPA’s Construction General Permit (CGP), a Local Coordinator for the North Atlantic Aquatic Connectivity Collaborative (NAACC) and certified in National Green Infrastructure Certification Program (NGICP). I also received the MACC Conservation Administrator of the Year award in 2019 for my work with Palmer Conservation Commission and an EPA Merit Award in 2019 for Excellence in Stormwater Education for my work with the Central Mass Regional Stormwater Coalition.
