I am a water rights consultant and GIS analyst at WGM Group, Inc. which is an engineering, design and consulting firm. For the past six years I have dedicated myself to water conservation in the many ways that may be accomplished. After a rewarding few years working in aquatic invasive species prevention, education, and outreach, I now have spent two years helping Montanans manage their water rights. Using the illustrative power of ArcGIS and publicly available data on state water rights, I ensure that clients can fulfill their water right needs while balancing the needs of the watershed and its many ecosystems and people it serves. I work in a tight knit, knowledgeable water rights team with vast experiences with the DNRC, hydropower, drone/lidar GIS, and more. I am eager to continuing expanding my mind to new ways to tackle water resource management and continue honing my skills in water rights for myself, for my team, and for our clients. Eventually I'd like to pursue a graduate program related to my passion for water rights/resources and teaching humans the amazing life led being an outdoor steward.
Outside of work I am an avid outdoors woman with my partner Stephen, enjoying my time outdoors whenever I can. Hiking, skiing, floating the river, and running are just a few of the outdoor activities I love. If not outside, you may find me cycling, reading, concocting intriguing recipes in my kitchen, or spending time with my two cats. I am born in raised in the Inland Northwest and grew up between Spokane, WA and Sandpoint, ID. It is a privilege and gift to live in a state rich with wilderness and strong communities between each town.
