A Boating Safety Program Coordinator working with a team of four to decrease drownings, incidents, and accidents on the waters of Washington State through water competency training and boater education. Our program has a strong focus on connecting and empowering community partners to carry out the safety mission though tangible education and support of equipment and teaching materials. I am new to the position and looking to build my "toolbox" to increase the impact of the safety program for residents. The outdoor focus of this program aligns well with my lifetime interest, professionally and personally, in outdoor recreation as a Parks and Recreation Major and a Nationally Certified Recreational Therapist.
