Hi there,

I am writing to ask for help identifying case studies for a report I am writing. The township of Lincoln in New Zealand is investigating options to set up projects involving the community to make it more environmentally sustainable. I am researching other towns around the world that have attempted a community wide approach to sustainability. I am interested in hearing about any towns (rather than cities) around the world that have had great successes in achieving a high level of community involvement over a wide range of sustainability projects. The research is not focused on individual projects rather cases involving communities coming together to decide to be sustainable and how they achieved that (or are working towards it). I am looking at studying around five or six cases, with the goal of finding out what worked and what didn't in the process. Any contacts in these towns or general literature on the subject would also be really helpful.

Thank you for your time,
Emily Arthur
