Hello All,

I let David Gershon, the creator of the EcoTeam program, here in New York, USA, know I have suggested his program. I found it to be an excellent program which I, and the team I worked with, continue to apply its principles. He has indicated he has just added another program for reducing carbon. I am forwarding the information, below:

Lorraine, Thanks for this and your good work. You may be interested to know I have just written a new book 'Low Carbon Diet: A 30 Day Program to Lose 5,000 Pounds'. You can learn more on my website http://www.empowermentinstitute.net.

Take care,
David

P.S. As a volunteer for the National Wildlife Federation 'Backyard Wildlife Habitat' program, I want to make a pitch again for reducing demand for and use of fossil fuel by making lawn areas an absolute minimum, just enought to serve whatever utilitarian needs humans have for lawn; letting it grow to at least four inches before mowing; and developing the rest of the landscape so it benefits the habitat needs of local wildlife- food, water, shelter, places to rear young (how about places to play and have fun?) If every person, business and municipality that is responsible for landscape care did this, we would make a positive impact on the environment and everyone's health and welbeing. For more information about this and other backyard conservation go to- http://www.nwf.org/gardenforwildlife/

Thank you,
Lorraine Herschkorn
