Hi!
Anyone know of any good information/public consultation campaigns to get public involvement and feedback on the development of Liquid Waste Management Plans? Am looking for liquid waste ideas, similar to what we have developed for getting feedback on regional Solid Waste plan (see example at www.tnrd.bc.ca "It's Time to Talk Trash"). Thanks so much!
Cheers

Jan,
Unfortunately I'm not aware about any such information out there, but like you, I'm also seeking similar information. (i.e. anything on Public Consultation practices in engaging the public) Our Department has just started its work in Public participation and public education. Although we've a long way to go, we do have one project up on our website: http://winnipeg.ca/waterandwaste/dept/CSIF/default.stm
On there you will find a Public Registry, which I've found to be very useful for anyone seeking in depth information: http://winnipeg.ca/waterandwaste/dept/publicRegistry/default.stm
The challenge when dealing with wastewater is that the audience, or stakeholders, are mostly comprised of interest groups. The public at large doesn't usually have a lot to say, as they are more concerned with other issues in the City. So our strategy has been to contact the interest groups directly.
