Landscape Architects, designers, and installers along the Front Range of Colorado are working to produce a Checklist of sustainable materials and practices for the installtion of landscape designs. Has anyone developed such a thing?
Thanks

I know of some examples from California regarding water use (www.bewaterwise.com is a good site) and Santa Barbara has done a good guideline for home gardeners - http://www.greengardener.org/pdf/Sustainable%20Book%20Final%2010-10-03.p df.
Communities in the Front Range of Colorado are prone to wildfire, and there are a number of landscaping practices that are sustainable from the environmental sense as well as helping make homes and communities sustainable through a natural event like wildfire that could otherwise be a disaster. You can find out more about Firewise landscaping practices at www.firewise.org and specifically about Colorado recommendations at http://www.ext.colostate.edu/pubs/natres/06305.html

Hello
Please have a look at this site. http://www.usgbc.org/ LEED is developing a rating system for neighbourhood developments in addition to rating system for buildings. This would help to guide developments toward more sustainable design and materials.

Hi JS,
You may like to try a site set up for this: www.ecospecifier.org May not be comprehensive at this stage though they are developing it further and may welcome your input and/or inquiry.
Kind regards,
