Energy Efficiency at the Gym

I would like to provide the manager of my gym (and ultimately the owner of a pretty large chain here in Canada) with some information on energy efficiency in gyms. I've met some resistance today (32 degrees C) about having the saunas turned off - because it's advertised as "a service" and, with turning out some of the lights - which all but one member on staff was willing to do "because of insurance reasons". (How's that for identifying the barriers right off the top Doug??). Confession, I regularly turn the sauna off or down and don't seek permission but thought I'd step it up today! Does anyone on the list have links or information to a success story or two in gyms so I can present a well documented and persuasive package?
