I'm working with a local technical college on the development of a curriculum for local builders to make their products green. I'm familiar with LEED and the National Association of Home Builders Green Guidelines and am the program officer for Green Communities here. Those programs provide information on what to do. I'm trying to provide a "How to do it" guide to reach an audience targeted at builders who produce 3 to 6 homes a year, don't usually work with an architect and can't afford a "green specialist" on staff or as a consultant.
Thanks!

Hi John,
Our Federal Government have a really comprehensive guide to building homes that outlines ALL the things that should be considered when building a new, sustainable home: http://www.greenhouse.gov.au/yourhome/ Especially the Technical Manual might be of interest to you as it is more specific and detailed in its explanations.
Good luck,

Hi All,
Another source of good information is our web site (see below) which contains lots of data about items to consider in order to design an energy efficient home. It also provides good information about sustainable living in general.

John,
A great source of a wide variety of info, targeted to different end-users, is the Canada Mortgage & Housing Corp. I would suggest starting here: http://www.cmhc.ca/en/inpr/bude/index.cfm

One program that springs to mind is the REBRI website. http://www.rebri.org.nz/. This looks at just one aspect, construction waste, but it is a good place to start. There are some handy how to's on there.
