Hi,
I am trying to get a hold of some sustainability policies for both schools and college/university campuses. Does anyone have any or know of schools/campuses with policies in place that I can contact to get a copy.
Thanks.

Hi there,
I just finished graduate school at UC Santa Barbara, and was very involved with their sustainability plan. The UC system is leading the way in this area, and I sat on a committee that helped draft a UC-wide sustainability plan that the UC President supported (I believe it is being slightly ammended before the final ok). Here is the link to the UCSB plan: http://sustainability.ucsb.edu/plan/ Don't hesitate to contact me either ([email protected]) with any questions. I now work for an environmental group in New York City.
Good luck!

Hi John,
You'll find Aus examples of what you are looking for here: http://www.acts.asn.au/ I also understand the Talloires declaration secretariat would have examples of north american policies: http://www.ulsf.org/programs_talloires.html
For a state-of-the art, comprehensive sustainability plan for a school board, see what they've done in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Very inspiring! http://www.cbe.ab.ca/community/ecoStewardship/default.asp

All state schools in NSW Australia are required to have a School Environmental Education Management Policy (SEMP) which involves a number of sustainability issues. Try writing to [email protected]. Paul is principal of Narrabeen North Public School, a suburb in northern Sydney or to our Curriculum Branch in Sydney. [email protected] There are hundreds to choose from.

John,
I would begin by contacting both the Green Schools Initiative and the Healthy Schools Campaign. Hope this helps!

Hi John
St Leonard's College in Victoria Australia lives and breaths sustainability - it is written into all aspects of its curriculum, as well as in being embedded in their policy.
