Hi there,

I'm one of a team working on a collaborative agency and community website project for our region. We're looking to provide a community-owned 'one-stop shop' for people to find out how to be involved in action for the environment / sustainability, using up to date web technology. At a basic level we're talking about a great local calendar of events (offered by community groups and agencies etc), drawing in from contributors' own sites, with automated, filtered updates going out to subscribers. For the future - we'd be looking at more interaction and communities telling their own stories, if there's a need.

We're really keen to hear if anyone knows of any:

*Great examples of local action events calendars

*Good sites where local communities tell their own stories of taking action

*Examples of the process development behind such sites/ community-owned projects (e.g. governance etc)

Please reply directly to this email: [email protected]

THANKS!
