We're looking at launching an initiative that encourages our visitors to go home and do things that will help the animals they just saw at our zoo. For some of the behaviours there is a tremendous amount of literature, but for two I am finding very little. Is anyone aware of any work (especially barrier analysis) with the following actions: - encouraging people to keep their cats in at night to protect the native fauna - encouraging people to buy sustainable wood products (e.g. FSC labelled wood) Once we know the barriers (we'll be doing our own barrier analysis on site), we'll implement an appropriate communication strategy and over the next few years follow up the effectiveness of the project.
Thanks for any information-

Hi Edy,
Gosford Council in NSW Australia did a big Cats Indoors promotion a few years ago which included signs on buses and stickers distributed to school children the factsheet is still on their website at http://www.gosford.nsw.gov.au/customer/dogs-cats/responsible-cat-ownership if you are interested.
