I am looking for successful examples of a green building retrofit training program. We are working for Sustainable South Bronx in NYC creating a plan to bring "green collar" jobs to the area. Our project focus right now is specifically green building retrofits. We would like to include all available technology, potential sources of funding (tax incentives, grants, private investments, etc.), and the training itself including declining industries that could be replaced with green "eco-industry," green building certifications, and potential for greening unions. Any information would be helpful!
Thanks

The Washington State Legislature is in session now and working on a number of "Green" bills. You can go to www.leg. wa.gov/ and type in some key words to locate bills relating to green collar jobs and weatherization work.
