I'm looking for ideas and successful methods to reduce plastic bags, plastic film and plastic packaging (eg - shrink-wrap) in the waste stream. Several cities, states and countries are utilizing plastic bag bans, taxes or encouragement for biodegradable/compostable bags. Are there other solutions? What about all the other types of plastic wrap and packaging, such as plastic dry cleaning bags, or the shrink-wrap used for packaging and transporting pallets of materials? Looking for ideas on producer responsibility, consumer education or behavior change, and...?
