Hi

I am doing some Masters research & wondering if people can refer me to literature (academic or otherwise) about the voluntary/non-profit environmental sector of Canada and it's contributions/effectiveness to advancing sustainability. The sort of material I am after is: .. Has the most effective scale of operation (from local to WWF size) been determined? (Knowing local and small is offered by so many anecdotally as the best approach) .. What kind of organizational arrangement do these groups fall under (voluntary, part-paid, business partnerships, government grant sponsored, etc) .. What kinds of actions have been most effective to date (energy conservation, habitat restoration, water consumption behavior change) .. What kinds of changes are they experiencing? (more/less volunteer interest, greater financial pressure, increasing community expectations, etc) .. What kind of future influences might be likely? Will they be positive or negative?

Thanks
