Guidelines for Local Living Guide

Aloha,

I am working with the County of Hawaii's Research and Development Department to compile a "Local Living Guide" for the Big Island. The sections, modeled after the County of Boulder, Colorado's "Going Local" campaign, will tentatively be entitled, "Buy Local First!," "Eat Local," "Growing Local," and "Local Energy." My question: Has anyone come across a set of guidelines for discerning between companies operating from a "triple-bottom line" business plan and those that are "green-washing?"
