Sustainability Groups and Case Studies

Greetings all,

Myself and a couple of friends have just lobbied our municipal Lord Mayor for the establishment of a sustainability group (to determine goals, conduct SoEs, lobby for a full-time environmental officer, etc) , the form of which we have to get back to him with some case studies of what works, what doesn't. Anyone have any ideas or references? We intially felt 2 groups would be suitable, one a technical advisory group and one more lay-person working group. Any thoughts?
