I'm looking for evidence that as income increases peoples tendencies to remain with a single community for the long term decreases. But income doesn't have to be the deciding factor. Generally I'm curious about the psychological impacts of believing in almost limitless possibilities (and having the resources to realize those possibilities), and thus becoming very nomadic. The effect being that fewer people are committing themselves to a single community to provide meaningful insight, influence and impact.

I have several follow up questions, but I would like to get some information first.
