I would like to know if anyone has used the CBSM method to influence behavior of marine recreational resource users to create environmentally responsible behavior. I have recently started my PhD and am looking at just that. Currently I am debating whether to atempt to apply CBSM or perhaps another behvaior change model. Any suggestions would be approciated.

In 2002 the County developed a Manatee Public Outreach Program that included a manatee boater education newsletter, console decal and floatable keychain. These products were distributed to marinas, boat rental agencies, boat ramps, marine supply stores and tackle shops within the County.
The decal was placed on the dash of the boat where the driver could easily see it and was a very effective tool in reminding the public to watch out for manatees.
Attached is copy of the grant proposal, decal and keychain. I have also include a copy of a card that we handout with contact information for all the major environmental agencies.
