Experienced international Social Marketing consultant & trainer Janet MacDonald will be holding another series of her popular two-day social marketing workshops in Edinburgh, Scotland on 28 & 29 January 2010.

Through her company Atlas Communications, Janet was a pioneer of social marketing training in Australasia - her company was the first and only New Zealand-based agency to offer specialist social marketing training.

Now working in both the UK and New Zealand, she is one of the UK's most experienced social marketing trainers.

Attendees at previous workshops have come from a range of backgrounds, encompassing corporate sustainability, public/population health, health promotion, environmental protection and NGO/non-profit sector. Janet has also been involved in developing and faciliatating the implementation of a strategic social marketing framework across public health organisations.

We will cover: a)Introduction and overview to social marketing b)Where can I use social marketing? c)The 5Ps of social marketing plus more d)Case study analysis part 1 e)Planning models and theories f)Developing a social marketing toolbox g)Developing a social marketing strategy & plan.

By the end of this workshop attendees will have a thorough understanding of the background, development and theory behind social marketing; the planning tools and models which you can apply to social marketing programmes; and an overview of a selection of successful social marketing case studies.

The workshop combines academic and theoretical knowledge with practical skills in the application of social marketing. Numbers are limited to 16 participants.

Day 2: January 29 is an intensive, hands-on workshop where a small number of attendees (maximum 8) will work closely with Janet on developing their own social marketing project plan using the knowledege and models from Day 1.
