Does anyone know of a study that establishes an emissions reduction factor for videoconferencing?
Obviously not every videoconference replaces a face-to-face meeting involving travel, but over many instances there should be some factor that emerges.
We are building a social networking app that encourages videoconferencing as an alternative to travel and would like to provide an legitimate emissions reduction figure for videoconferences. Thanks in advance,

Hi Steve,
I recently attended a webinar and at the end there was a tracking system used that calculates the GHG savings. The company that puts the webinar on and has utilized the tracking software is: Jay Kassirer, President, Cullbridge Marketing and Communications
61 Forest Hill Avenue, Ottawa Ontario, Canada K2C 1P7
Tel: (613) 224-3800 Web: www.cullbridge.com
Open University www.open.ac.uk has conducted studies profilingthe benifits of distance education over convention learning models.
Hope this helps
