Computer Simulation Models

Based on the concept that a picture tells a thousand stories, I am working with an environmental project in New Zealand to illustrate the effects of stormwater run-off and the positive environmental outcomes achieved by various segments of our project but the model and systems we have available seem, to, very clunky but I come from a TV/media bckground.
I am looking for examples of effective and engaging environmentally-focused computer simulation models.
