Hello everyone!
I am working with an NGO in Nova Scotia, Canada to promote energy efficiency in municipalities and non-profits. I do this with presentations focusing on case studies and incentives available and I would really like to include 10 (or less) of the best "bang for your buck" practices.
I have an example list for Australia, but it doesn't align very well with Nova Scotia's climate. Australia is trying to keep the heat out so their number 1 is "Painting roofs white" whereas we are trying to keep the heat in.
Does anyone have a list of the best energy efficiency actions for a similar climate to Nova Scotia's that they are willing to share?
Thank you!

Hi Emma,
Hydro-Quebec has a few tips for residences (http://www.hydroquebec.com/residential/save-energy/) and businesses (http://www.hydroquebec.com/business/energy-efficiency/) that you may find interesting as well.
More ideas on this page but I can't comment on their efficiencies: http://www.efficaciteenergetique.mrnf.gouv.qc.ca/en/programs-and-financial-aid/
Good luck!

Morning Emma,
The Livesmart program has been working to improve energy conservation for both residents and businesses in BC. Their website is http://www.livesmartbc.ca/homes/index.html
The provincial utility offers this: http://www.bchydro.com/powersmart/ for both residential and commercial customers.
Hope that helps!
