You might be interested in this online panel discussion from Griffith University about how to combat the plastic crisis in the South Pacific region. It takes place on Wednesday, July 29th from 12:30 - 1:30pm (AEST - Australian Eastern Standard Time). Panelists will discuss the potential role of government legislation combined with other approaches such as social marketing to change behaviours around single-use plastics. Speakers include national and local government officials as well as the Director General of a non-profit organization. Co-hosts are Ricki Hersburgh, Executive Director of Plastic Oceans Australasia Foundation, and Sharon Rundle-Thiele, professor of social marketing at Griffith University. Spaces are limited.
