Hi all, I’ve just discovered a fantastic, free, and downloadable cookbook that helps households to reduce their food waste. It’s called Rock What You’ve Got: Recipes for Preventing Food Waste. This cookbook includes food waste prevention tips, from planning meals to food storage, as well as a grocery list template and a diagram to help people organize their fridge to avoid food spoilage.
By far the best part of this resource, though, is its many healthy and low-cost recipes that assist families to move towards zero waste. It features 2-in-1 recipes (such as a roasted chicken with sweet red peppers dinner that becomes a roasted pepper and chicken sandwich), fridge clean-out recipes, and zero-waste recipes.
Some examples include:- Lemon butter garlic fish- Sweet potato and sausage frittata- Quick cheesy vegetable pasta bake- Curried chicken cauliflower pilaf- Tomato risotto with grilled romaine lettuce
