Would you know of literature, case studies or any resources for promoting consumer interest in local agricultural products? I believe this would be an effective use of CBSM.

Alain:
I'd suggest that you take a look at several resources that are available on the FSB website. First, in the case studies database under source reduction there is a description of the Seafood Watch program that was established by Monterey Bay Aquarium. I think it will provide you with some suggestions on how to educate the public regarding the purchase habits. Also look at the write up in the case studies database for the Buy Recycled Get in the Loop program out of Western Washington State. This description should give you some ideas regarding the importance of using prompts directly in front of locally grown food. I'd also suggest that you take a look at what has been accomplished with the Nordic Swan program (cases/activities/source reduction) and finally look at the case study on purchasing local food by Rick North (cases/activities/source reduction).
