I am seeking information (academic or professional) regarding the use of local government public-private partnerships to address climate change. I am working on my Master's degree in Environmental Policy at Bard College in NY. Any resources regarding specific local govenment programs, case studies or academic literature would be greatly appeciated. I have expanded my search to include European models as well as U.S.
Thanks!

The Sierra Club is also working with municipalities across the US on the US Mayors Climate Protection Agreement signing and implementation. Check these pages for more info: www.coolcities.us www.sierraclub.org/energy/overview/ and the organization that we're working with and recommending for assessments: www.iclei.org - Local Governments for Sustainability
I hope this is useful - please feel free to let me know if you have more questions, or feel free to contact your local Sierra Club Chapter (you can find contact information on the Sierra Club main web page in the "Select a Place" pulldown menu).

In a shameless commerical plug - connected to the subject of climate change - I wanted to list our revised website: www.nativeenergy.com. Just went online 10 minutes ago. We are working with ICLEI and US cities through our tribal owners. For the Planet.

George,
That's fantastic! Nice to see all this activity on climate change and nice to see ICLEI mentioned on this network. We're the design firm that built their web site and put together a project in the Tsunami-hit areas of SE Asia with them.
Kind regards
