Experience Using "The Focus Group Kit"

My program is planning to conduct several focus groups to assess barriers and benefits related to land use practices that protect water quality. As an alternative to hiring a consultant, we are considering using "The Focus Group Kit," by David L. Morgan and Richard A. Krueger, to help us plan and conduct the focus groups in house. If anyone has experience using that set of books, were they were useful and did they provide enough guidance to conduct your own focus groups? Are there other resources you found more helpful?
