I am looking for examples of energy efficiency programs that use community-based social marketing, including all the elements beginning with market research to identify barriers for specific activities and behaviors, pilots, to use of some social marketing techniques (prompts, pledges, incentives, norms, any of them). Has anyone taken this deliberate approach to apply social marketing techniques to an energy efficiency program? (Preferably recently, in the last 5 years.) We have a database of 1200 energy utility efficiency programs in the US and Canada, but I am looking for examples with more of a behind-the-scenes view of how CBSM is used in program development.

Thanks!
