I recently came across an online community web site created by Paul Hawken that might interest a lot of people on the FSB and GreenYes Listservs. The site is: http://WiserEarth.org/. I have heard it described as a "MySpace" for environmentalists. Here is a link to an article on the site from the San Francisco Bay Guardian: http://www.sfbg.com/entry.php?entry_id=3903

Graduate programs in sustainabilitySomeone wrote in recently and asked who the people on the FSB listserv are and what are we working on. From reading your postings and tag lines, I have been blown away with the amazing group of people on this listserv and wish there were a directory we could refer to if we wanted to find out information about a particular topic and could contact someone of the listserv working on it directly. I've starting saving contact information for people and groups working on the issues I am for future reference. Paul Hawken has a new book called Blessed Unrest, where he says there are over a million organizations working around the world on sustainability/social justice/environmental issues. I think the web site www.wiserearth.org has a directory that can be searched by focus area, geographic area, contact information, etc. If any of you would be willing to be listed, I hope you will sign up...taking into consideration that you might be bombarded with requests for information from a lot of people around the world. That's a rather sobering thought, I must say.
