Hi all

I am currently working on a project of calculating the Greenhouse Gas Emissions associated with garbage trucks picking up waste from multi unit residential units and commercial business. Currently there are ten separate waste haulers that all serve an area of 4.5 square miles. Having ten separate haulers means that there are a large number of garbage trucks all traveling the same area on a regular basis. This study is trying to estimate any greenhouse gas savings that would be realized from reducing the number of waste haulers from 10 to 1 or 2. If anyone knows of any work or research that has already been done on greenhouse gas emissions associated with garbage and recycling pick up I'd love to learn about what others have done.

Thanks a lot
