Greeting
I am a student doing research on social sustainability within the current economic structure, specify how to create it. I have done a search of the archives but am looking for more articles, research, or direction into the following questions: How does one (or more) create large scale epistemological change? historical examples or current perspectives What would happen to the "economy" if the level of current (or predicted) level of consumption became impossible? And finally a hot topic: Can we consume our way to a sustainable future? Thanks for your time and insight on these questions. Please contact me with further questions, clarification, or information directly as well.

How does one (or more) create large scale epistemological change? historical examples or current perspectives In a sense, the classic text on this is Thomas Kuhn's Structure of Scientific Revolutions. It's not a how-to book but it lays out how large-scale epistemological change occurs in the sciences and much of what he describes is relevant to your issues.
