Hi folks,
I have a student who recently graduated with their Masters who is looking to find web resources for finding professional positions in the field of sustainability. Can you direct me where to find this?

Hi,
Best of luck. When I graduated with my Masters I was competing with 300-odd people for jobs with salaries 1/2 what I'd earned as an honours grad. Environmental / sustainability jobs are like that. Now I'm an unemployed physics teacher. Funny old world, eh?

I have a triple bottom line company, and I recently hired 5 people. They found me through craigslist and greendreamjobs.
Best of luck.

Heres another angle on career guidance to consider. While there are fascinating jobs at the forefront of sustainability, from restoration ecology to carbon trading to water management, many of the decisions that will direct our communities and institutions toward sustainability (or not) will actually be made by people in regular occupations and industries, from construction to agriculture to health care to education. More than identifying specific opportunities available right now, we need to guide students and our friends and colleagues to consider the sustainable dimension of any work that beckons them.
