Hi -
Is anyone familiar with a video that is on the internet that shows the amount of resources an average new baby born in the US will consume over their lifetime? I've heard about it, but I don't remember where it is, and I'd like to share it with my high school students.
Thanks!

Hi Kate.
Here are some options for you to check out, though it's not quite the one you're looking for. Still worth checking out.

4. http://www.motherjones.com/news/exhibit/2008/05/kids-carbon-footprints.html
This Mother Jones section talks about a baby's carboon footprint, including things like, "Over his/her lifetime, each American born in the 1990s will produce an average of..." stats. So while not the video you seek, definitely some interesting facts about consumption and kids. 5. http://mii.org/pdfs/2007_mii_Baby_Info.pdf This papers gives insights on other related data on what every American baby will need over a lifetime. Good luck!

It's National Geographic's documentary called Human Footprint. I showed to my scout group the other night- very good, although a bit repetitive.
