I am part of a research team exploring 'catalyst behaviours'. This is the idea that some pro-environmental behaviours or actions may have a knock on effect and result in an individual adopting a broader range of pro-environmental behaviours. Is anyone aware of any evidence of this kind from projects they have worked on?
Many thanks in anticipation,
Annie Austin

Hi Annie
I'd be very interested to talk to you. My organization is One Change. We're based in Ottawa, Ontario but run energy conservation programs across North America. One Change empowers people to believe that simple actions matter and to make smart energy choices in their daily lives. Our entire program approach is based on the catalyst principle. We've had it tested by independent research firms in very distinct communities. It works. By personalizing energy conservation action at the community level and by providing a simple first step, people go on to do more things, and increasingly identify themselves with the action and its benefits. See onechange.org or our flagship program projectporchlight.com
Cheers
