I am developing a pilot for a social marketing program that will provide in-home consultations about commuting alternatives. My current thinking is that these consultations would be done during the summer by university students who have studied social networking and social marketing.
I am looking for any information readers can provide on how to cost out the program, particularly the staffing component.
This pilot is focused on transportation, but experience from similar programs in other areas such as energy conservation and water efficiency would be quite relevant.
Any information that can be provided is appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi Asher
You would probably gain some valuable insights from a similar project run in the City of Perth, Australia which has been internationally recognised. Refer the attached link: http://www.nsms.org.uk/images/CoreFiles/TravelSmart_Using_social_marketing_techniques_to_change_travel_behaviour.pdf

Asher--I participate in a local commuting alternatives program that may be of some help as you look at various models for staffing and other resources. Check it out at http://www.commutealternatives.info/ or email Sasha at [email protected] .
