Hi I am a social researcher based in Sydney, Australia who is working on a project investigating how to measure behavioural change in the context of education programs for a water utility.
I am trying to locate any systems of calculating the multiplier effect of education programs. For example I would love to identify a simple tested formula which has been applied to estimate `the reach' of a program e.g if a child attends a program it is assumed that he / she will impart some of their experiences/knowledge to their family and friends. So perhaps it could be estimated that an average multiplier effect would be X 3 or a total reach of the program to 4 people (1 participant plus 3 others). I would really appreciate anyone directing me towards research papers, programs, websites and or practitioners who are using such a formula or method.
Warm regards

Hi Kirsty,
Would it be possible for you to keep me in the loop with any calculating systems you come across too? We are doing a training program which will also entails behavioural change.
Cheers,
Clare

I share Kristy's interest in such studies. We are trying learn a way to measure our interactions with students and adults.
Thanks!
