I posted something earlier this year regarding leads on success stories for the book that I am coauthoring with Doug, Wesley Schultz and Philip Koter: Social Marketing to Protect the Environment: WHAT WORKS.
I am currently looking for succesful recyling efforts, both residential and commercial. I would appreciate any leads, especially ones outside North America.
Warm regards,

Nancy:
You might want to talk to Steve Ellingford, Operations Manager, Bayfair Shopping Centre New Zealand. I spoke to Steve just over a year ago about their sustainability program and specifically about recycling. Steve's contact information as follows:
Cnr Girven and Maunganui Roads, PO Box 10002, Bayfair, Mount Maunganui | ( ph +64 7 928 3443 | fax +64 7 575 7048 | mob +64 21 498 999 | * [email protected] Website: www.ampcapitalshopping.com.au
Jo Wills, Regional Manager of the Sustainable Business Network in the Bay of Plenty New Zealand (email [email protected])originally connected me to Steve.

You may wish to visit the Town of Cochrane, Alberta web site. Cochrane has a popular recycling depot, an innovative EPS cold compactor, a two bag residential trash collection limit, and an award-winning Sustainability Plan. For further information contact the Solid Waste and Recycling Manager and / or the Recycling Coordinator (current numbers on the web site). Not outside NA, but interesting examples of successful CBSM.

I wanted to ask specifically if there is any one on the listserve familiar with the Fast tills for Greens in Scotland, where if you brought a reusable bag you get to go through the fast lane. Would love to know more about this, as I love the use of motivators.
thanks!
