Ohio EPA recently adopted a new state solid waste management plan. One of the goals is for solid waste management districts to prepare and implement outreach and marketing plans to get more people to recycle. The idea is to move them away from awareness education toward social marketing and behavior change. This is a totally new area for us and for them. I have done quite a bit of research about how to go about the theory behind social marketing and the steps for preparing a social marketing campaign, and am almost completed with instructions for doing the planning steps. But, I haven't been able to find a write up of a social marketing plan that goes through not just the planning steps but also through implementation of the campaign and analysis of the results. I would love it if someone can point to such an example. It doesn't have to be about recycling. Ohio EPA and the solid waste management districts are going to need examples to look at. Thank you.
