Hello,
I am hoping to design a comprehensive behavior change strategy/approach to initiate and maintain behavior change in the following areas for a college campus: 1) recycling, 2) energy use reduction and conservation, 3) water use reduction and conservation, 4) transportation, 5) procurement, 6) dining services and 7) green curriculum. If anyone can provide guidance or know of any project(s)of this kind please let me know. Thank you.

Hi, Davika,
In the Literature Review section of her dissertation (Peer to Peer Sustainability Outreach Programs: The Interface of Education and Behavior Change) at the University of Vermont (UVM), Christina Erickson included an extensive review of behavior change strategies related to campus operations. Her document is on the UVM Eco-Reps website at

Hi Davika,
I know that the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario (Canada) (where I did my undergrad in Environmental Studies) as a program called WATGreen - basically greening the campus in the kinds of areas you mentioned. The approach was to involved students in developing projects as part of their coursework so that they both achieved credit but also contributed to reducing the environmental impact of the University's operations.
You could check it out at www.watgreen.uwaterloo.ca
I hope this helps
