Hello -
I am looking for good examples of pledges for a poster. I am preparing a poster for a Law Librarians Conference that will ask librarians to pledge $10 or more for social and environmental responsibility. The pledge $ goes towards purchasing offsets for travel to the conference as well as for solar heaters for Lakota Indian families in SD living in poverty. Can you recommend articles, etc. on this topic?
I see there are articles and other materials on this site but don't know how to do a more specific search for those materials. David Selden in Colorado.

OK. Actually, I believe the action is to get people to commit to offset their carbon footprint. They do this by taking action (making a donation) to purchase/build a solar heater to replace coal-fired electric heaters as well as to help create jobs.
Thanks for the suggestion. David

David, thanks for the info. What a great project! Actually, both of the solar projects are great ideas!

David,
With respect, pledges in CBSM are pledges for action, not for fundraising. I think you might be better off googling "fundraising."
