I've just thought with the coming New Year, printing recycling and composting material and information on a calendar may be a cool idea. There could be a theme for each month regarding waste management.
I'm brainstorming some interactive and inspiring promo material methods so please give suggestions if you've worked on anything of the sort.

Hi Liz, I agree that calendars work really well as a prompt and trigger for drawing out a sub-conscious response in the behaviour change audience. In my book Green Spin Promoting the Green Message I wrote that you could have an online calendar and each month there is a new sustainability idea: eg man building up his muscles by pushing the manual mower, next month get the kids outdoors by planting seeds (or in this case taking the compost out - shredding up newspaper to get the chemical balance right). During festivals and holidays, have a prompt to remind people to bring recycling bags to bring waste home from work - assuming there are no facilities at the office. It could either work with cartoons or attractive photos. Kids are a great source for making sustainability fun, so speak to them. Being closer to the world of fantasy and imagination than we adults, they can often come up with inspirational ideas for eco-creativity! Cheers, Nicolle Kuna
