The next iSMA webinar is on using Social Marketing to influence social strategy.
Too often Social Marketing is seen as a third order function that is only considered after key policy decisions and strategy has been agreed. Social Marketers need to be at the top policy and strategy development table when social interventions are being conceived if they are to be designed optimally. This webinar will explores how we can position Social Marketing as a first order strategy activity that is as essential in the development of social programmes as marketing is in the commercial sector. The role of Social Marketing in policy selection and strategy development will be examined together with ideas about how to position the benefits of Social Marketing to the policy and strategy process with politicians and policy makers. The session will be illustrated with some examples from around the world where Social Marketing is influencing social policy and strategy.
Presented May 14, 2014, by Jeff French (United Kingdom). 60 minutes.
