I am starting a project looking at ways of encouraging people walking in New Zealand's kauri forests to use the cleaning stations provided at the start and finish of tracks. These stations are designed to help reduce the spread of PTA (Phytophera taxon agathis)a ,fungus-like organism causing kauri dieback disease. Any information on design of cleaning stations, associated signage and most effective placement of signage and stations would be helpful.

Try the Dept of parks and Wildlife, Western Australia https://www.dpaw.wa.gov.au. They used such systems to get Phytophthera under control in the jarrah forests of the south west. Also the Forest Products Commission uses it in their seedling nursery at Manjimup. www.fpc.wa.gov.au good luck, Jo
