If you'd like to know more about how effective mask-wearing policies have been in protecting against COVID-19, there's an interesting research study that was conducted in Ontario, Canada, suggesting that face mask mandates reduce new cases by 25-31%. It's important to note, however, that Canadians are largely compliant with mask mandates. Behavioural compliance will of course vary by region.
