I'm looking for any research on barriers and benefits to using social media to report content showing primates as pets to social media platforms.

Hi again Sarah,
Nancy Lee has graciously shared a case study that might be interesting to you, but it will not be published until Spring 2022. If you email me at jcook@uwaterloo.ca, I will respond to you with the document attached.
Kind regards,
Julie

Hello, the Brazilian primatology society started a campaign called #macaconãoépet (monkey is not pet).
I don't know their barriers, but maybe you can send them a message?

I've searched around and found a journal article about social media in Thailand being used to promote wildlife trade. Though there are few details related to reporting, the authors make some interesting points and provide sources in the Discussion section about regulation and legislation.
I'll also make some inquiries to social marketing experts about this and will let you know if I hear anything back by the end of next week.
Kind regards,
Julie
