Hi all,

This is a friendly reminder that the World Social Marketing Conference is fast approaching. The theme for this year is Catalysts for Change: Uniting Global Efforts to Shape a Better Future. This theme emphasizes the importance of collective action, innovation, and collaboration in tackling some of the most critical social, environmental, and health challenges of today.

Set on the lovely campus of the University of Alicante, the conference joins together an international community of social marketers, behavioral scientists, policy makers, designers, and change agents who are devoted to bringing about social and environmental transformation.

Dates: November 5 – 7, 2025

Location: Alicante, Spain

Cost: 465 Euros (high-income country ticket), 245 Euros for students

One of the highlights of this conference is the opening keynote by Dr. Craig Lefebvre, Reflections and Revelations: The Change We Make. I studied some of his work when I was doing my PhD and can confidently say that he is a foundational voice in the field of social marketing and a very insightful man when it comes to socio-behavioral change. Dr. Lefebvre will deliver a powerful reflection on the evolution of social marketing and speak about what it truly means to be an agent of change today.

In addition to the keynote, here are some plenary session examples:
·      Mainstreaming behavior change in global conservation

·      Brand positioning, personality, and execution for social marketing in the digital age

·      The art of social marketing

·      Boosting: Empowering citizens with behavioral science

·      AI and social marketing

·      The changing landscape of social marketing in higher education
