Can anyone on the listserv recommend (or ideally provide) studies / program evaluations that have measured changes in NON-purchase energy efficiency behaviours from social marketing / outreach / energy conservation programs for the consumer or commercial sectors? Self-reported data / surveys would be fine. Examples of such behaviours include: turning off lights, air conditioners, computers and appliances when not needed or during energy crises; drawing window coverings; hanging clothes to dry rather than machine drying; reducing temperature of the hot water heater; taking stairs rather than elevators; keeping doors closed at loading docks when not in use; etc.)
