As of this post, nearly 7000 environmental program planners receive the FSB digest daily. Your helpful responses to requests for assistance is heartwarming for the team that designed the FSB forums and digest, but more importantly to the thousands who read the digest daily.
Since launching the forums and digest in January, Justin Kuntz (my designer), Brian Loomis (my programmer) and I have been discussing what refinements we can make to the forums and digest to make them more useful. We have decided to initially focus on improving the digest. Below is a link to a revised version of the digest that has two principal improvements. First, we have included a true table of contents at the top of the digest to allow the contents of the digest to be quickly reviewed. Second, we have incorporated at the end of the digest a link to allow those who wish to unsubscribe much easier access to doing so. Before committing to these changes, we are asking for your feedback on these and any other features of the digest that you believe need improvement. Please take a moment to review the mock-up (note the links in the mock-up have not been made live) and provide us with feedback via this thread.

I had stopped reading your digest because the print was so small I could hardly see it, let alone read it. I really missed it. I finally clicked on the button that said to go to the web page if you are having trouble reading the post and can boost the type size to one that I can read easily. I'm thrilled to be reading the digest again and learning from all the informative posts. Thanks for all your good work.

Love it! It will be great to have a summary at the top of the page so I can see at a glance if there's anything I want to read more about.

Hi Doug,
I'll second what Michele has said- these posts are invaluable and I always look forward to the inspiration they provide me each day from all of the amazing things people are doing.
One thing I think may help keep everything clear is having the original quesiton posed on each reply that appears in the daily digest. I get the threads from the different conversations and sometimes I just want to be clear about what question was posed without having to click anything.
Take care, Joanne

I would appreciate the table of contents at the top to be able to quickly ascertain whether there is anything relevant for my job or not.
Many thanks

Like it. Very much like the table of contents idea.
The only improvement --- and maybe it would not be an improvement, but possibly is --- would be to number threads. You could use an alphanumeric identifier to separate the categories (AC for Ag/Conservation; E for Energy; T for transport, etc.) and simply number threads serially as they develop.

I also appreciate having a table of contents at the beginning.

I think the number of people who have struggled with the tiny font that the digest arrives in (and I did as well, until I asked) means that you should put a note in the footer down by the copyright statement explaining how to increase the font size. Something like "To increase font size of this email, press CTRL and + at the same time. (For Mac users, Apple+)."

I like the improvements, thanks. I'm rather a newcomer here, but might suggest that in comments be made "clickable" if that's possible.

I also like the changes, especially the table of contents at the top.
One suggestion on the sign-in page -- would it be possible to add the "remember me on this computer" function?
This continues to be a wonderful resource. Thank you for all your time and effort.
